It's a fire monitor that aims itself. No handwheels. No one standing next to it. You sit in a control room, a fire truck cab, or a safe distance away, and you push buttons on a remote control. The monitor turns left and right. It tilts up and down. It switches from straight stream to fog. All by electric motors .

This is not a manual monitor. You don't turn handwheels. You don't stand near the fire. You operate it from a safe place – up to 100 meters away for wireless control, or from a control room over a wired connection .

The monitor has explosion-proof motors. That's important because it's used in hazardous areas – refineries, chemical plants, oil depots. If flammable gases are present, a spark from a motor could ignite them. The explosion-proof housing contains any spark .

This monitor does two things. It extinguishes fires – with water or foam. And it cools equipment – spraying water on tanks, pipes, and structures to keep them from getting too hot and failing. That's the "extinguishing and cooling" part.

• Which one do you need? If your site has flammable liquids or gases present during normal operation – you need explosion-proof. If it's a fire truck or fire boat operating in open air away from continuous hazards – ordinary is fine.
