Aluminum Alloy Monitor
Aluminum alloy fire water cannon is a type of fire-fighting equipment made of aluminum alloy material. Its unique material characteristics and diverse functional designs play an important role in modern firefighting and can meet the fire extinguishing needs in different scenarios.
Fujian Haijing Fire Fighting Equipment Co., Ltd. is one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of aluminum alloy monitor in China, also supports customized service. Please feel free to wholesale cheap aluminum alloy monitor from our factory.
What Is an Aluminum Alloy Monitor?
It's a fire monitor – a water or foam cannon – made from aluminum alloy instead of brass or ductile iron. Same function. Lighter weight.
A monitor is different from a handheld nozzle. You don't hold it. It mounts on a base – a concrete pad, a steel post, a fire truck deck, or a ship's railing. You aim it by turning two handwheels. One controls left and right (horizontal rotation). The other controls up and down (elevation). Then you open a valve, and water or foam shoots out the front.
These are for big fires. Not car fires or trash fires. Think aircraft hangars, oil refineries, fuel depots, petrochemical plants, shipyards, and airport crash trucks. Places where a handheld hose is too small and the firefighter needs to stay far away.
The aluminum alloy body makes it light enough for one person to carry and install. A brass monitor of the same size might weigh 40 kg. An aluminum monitor weighs half that. That matters when you're lifting it onto a fire truck or carrying it up a ladder to a mounting platform

Mounting Options
- Fixed pedestal mount – A steel or aluminum column bolted to a concrete pad. The monitor sits on top. Common for airports, tank farms, loading racks. The pedestal has a supply pipe inside or attached.
- Flange mount – The monitor bolts directly to a flange on a pipe coming out of the ground or a wall. No pedestal. Lowest profile.
- Truck deck mount – A low-profile base that bolts to the fire truck's deck or roof. The monitor sits just above the truck body. The supply pipe comes up through the deck.
- Portable ground mount – A tripod or folding base. You carry the monitor to the fire, set it up, and connect a hose. Less common but useful for industrial sites with many hazards and few fixed monitors.
- Pick the mount that matches your location. For fixed installations, pedestal or flange. For vehicles, truck deck. For temporary use, portable.

Common Problems and Fixes
- Problem: The monitor won't turn. Handwheels are stuck.
Fix: The gears are seized from lack of lubrication or corrosion. First, try working the handwheels back and forth. If that doesn't work, remove
the gear cover, clean out the old grease, apply new grease. If still stuck, replace the gear assembly.
- Problem: The stream is weak – not reaching the designed range.
Fix: Low flow or low pressure. Check the supply valve – is it fully open? Check the pump discharge pressure. Should be at least 7 bar at the
monitor inlet. If pressure is good but flow is low, there may be debris in the monitor or nozzle. Remove the nozzle tip and check for blockages.
- Problem: The monitor leaks at the base flange.
Fix: The gasket is worn. Replace it. Also check that the flange bolts are tight. Don't over-tighten – you can crack the aluminum.
