Horizontal Foam Bladder Tank
Horizontal foam bladder tank – stores foam concentrate in a rubber bladder, balanced by water pressure. No external power needed. Reliable, simple, for foam proportioning systems.
Fujian Haijing Fire Fighting Equipment Co., Ltd. is one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of horizontal foam bladder tank in China, also supports customized service. Please feel free to wholesale cheap horizontal foam bladder tank from our factory.
Products Description

A horizontal foam bladder tank is exactly what it sounds like – a steel tank lying on its side, with a rubber bladder inside. The bladder holds foam concentrate. The space between the bladder and the tank shell holds water.
When a fire happens and you open the foam system, water pressure squeezes the bladder. That pushes foam concentrate out of the tank and into the water line. The foam and water mix at the right ratio – usually 1%, 3%, or 6% – and come out of your foam nozzles or monitors as finished foam.
No electricity. No foam pump. No complicated controls. Just water pressure doing the work.
This is not a new invention. Foam bladder tanks have been around for decades. They're simple, reliable, and still one of the most common ways to proportion foam concentrate in fire protection systems.

Where Do People Use Horizontal Foam Bladder Tanks?
Real projects we've supplied:
Oil and gas depots – Tank farms, loading racks, pump stations. Horizontal tanks fit inside equipment rooms or under pipe racks.
Chemical plants – Solvent storage, reactor buildings, drum storage areas.
Helipads and airports – Helipads on ships or buildings. Limited ceiling height – horizontal tank is often the only option.
Aircraft hangars – Large hangars need lots of foam. Multiple horizontal tanks lined up against the wall.
Power plants – Turbine enclosures, transformer yards, fuel storage.
Marine and offshore – Ship engine rooms, offshore platforms, FPSOs. Horizontal tanks fit in tight machinery spaces.
Skid-mounted foam systems – Portable or mobile units for rental or emergency response. Horizontal tanks keep the skid height low.
Horizontal vs. Vertical – Why Does Orientation Matter?
Most foam bladder tanks are vertical. They stand on end. That works fine if you have ceiling height.
But sometimes you don't.

Use a horizontal tank when:
- Your ceiling is low (equipment rooms, skid-mounted systems, shipping containers)
- You need to fit the tank under piping or ductwork
- You're building a mobile or trailer-mounted foam system
- The customer spec calls for a horizontal tank (common in some industries)
Use a vertical tank when:
- You have plenty of ceiling height
- The tank needs to fit in a small footprint (vertical takes less floor space)
- Local code or customer spec requires vertical orientation
- The working principle is the same. Only the shape changes.

Why Choose Our Horizontal Foam Bladder Tanks?
We have been making fire protection equipment since 1992. Here's what makes our tanks different.
1. Real rubber bladders, not cheap substitutes – Our bladders are made from virgin rubber compounds, not reclaimed material. They flex without cracking. They last.
2. Proper welding – Tank shells are welded by certified welders. We pressure test every tank before it leaves. No pinhole leaks.
3. Standard or custom – We stock common sizes (500L, 1000L, 2000L) for quick shipment. Or we build custom sizes and materials to your spec.
4. Clear documentation – Every tank comes with a manual, test certificate, bladder material cert, and nameplate. No hunting for paperwork.
5. We answer questions – Call or email us during installation. We'll talk you through it.

Q&A
FAQ
Q1: What size tank do I need?
That depends on how much finished foam you need. For 3% foam, every 30 liters of concentrate makes about 1,000 liters of finished foam. Common tank sizes range from 200L to 10,000L. Send us your required flow rate (liters per minute) and how long you need to run the system. We'll calculate the tank size for you.
