When a Dry Pipe Sprinkler Fire Alarm Valve trips the accelerator?
The Accelerator automatically adjusts to both small and slow changes in sys- tem pressure but trips when there is a rapid and steady drop in pressure (such as will occur when a sprinkler operates). Upon tripping, the Accelera- tor transmits system air pressure to the intermediate chamber of the dry pipe valve.

A: Normal system air is 40 psi (2.8 bar) with a 5:1 differential to water supply; a low-air supervisory switch signals at 30 psi (≈ 10 psi drop) to give a pre-trouble warning .
