Where Do You Use The PL Series Monitor?
- Fire trucks – Deck-mounted on the roof or front bumper. The monitor is the truck's big gun. When a handline isn't enough, the driver aims the monitor from inside the cab (remote control) or from the ground (manual handwheels).
- Fire boats – Mounted on the deck or a raised platform. Fire boats need reach – the boat stays in deep water, the monitor shoots water onto the shore or onto another ship. PL monitors on fire boats often have very high flow rates (5,000+ L/min).
- Fixed fire turrets – In refineries, chemical plants, and oil depots. A concrete or steel tower with a monitor on top. The turret protects a specific hazard – a tank, a loading rack, a reactor. The monitor stays aimed at that hazard, ready to go.
- Fire pipelines – Along pipe racks, at valves, around storage areas. A fire hydrant with a monitor on top instead of hose outlets. Crews just open the valve and the monitor shoots water or foam. No hose to lay out.
- Industrial and mining enterprises – Factories with flammable materials. Conveyor belts, hydraulic systems, fuel storage. Fixed monitors protect specific equipment.
- Warehouses – High-bay storage, flammable goods. Monitors at ceiling level or on columns.
- Oil fields – Wellheads, gathering stations, tank batteries. Monitors on portable bases or fixed posts.
- Storage tank areas – At the base of each tank, aimed at the tank shell. If the tank catches fire, the monitor can cool the tank and fight the fire from a safe distance.
