Vehicle Water Fire Monitor - Ordinary/Explosion-proof
Monitor-SJ-23 vs. Monitor-SJ-24 – What's the Difference?
Monitor-SJ-23 – Water only. Simpler. No foam-specific components. For fire trucks, fixed installations where you only need water. Class A fires – wood, paper, trash. Also for cooling exposures – spraying water on tanks or buildings next to a fire.
Monitor-SJ-24 – Water and foam. Has a foam-rated nozzle and internal passages designed for foam solution. Also has a specified 25% water drain time (≥150 seconds) – that's a foam quality measurement. The foam stays wet and stable. For petrochemical plants, tank farms, airports, anyplace with flammable liquids.
Both models come in ordinary or explosion-proof. Explosion-proof means the electrical components – motors, switches, wiring – are enclosed in housings that won't ignite flammable gases or vapors. Required in hazardous areas like refineries, oil depots, chemical plants.
Both run on DC24V – standard for fire trucks and industrial control systems. Safe low voltage. Easy to integrate with existing panels.

FAQ
Q1: The monitor won't turn or tilt at all. What's wrong?
First, check that power is reaching the monitor – you should have DC24V. Then check the control wires for loose connections. If power and signal are good but nothing moves, the motor is probably dead. Replace the motor or the entire gear assembly.
Q2: The monitor turns, but only in one direction. Why?
The limit switch is stuck, or the wiring is broken. The limit switch tells the monitor when to stop at the end of travel. If it's stuck in one position, the monitor can't reverse direction. Check the limit switch and replace it if it's stuck.
Q3: The nozzle pattern won't change – it's stuck in straight stream or fog. How do I fix it?
The pattern motor or actuator has failed. First, check the wiring to the pattern motor. If the wiring is good, the actuator is likely faulty. Replace the pattern actuator.
