Q: How does the wet alarm valve work?
A: Normal state: The valve disc is closed and the pipeline is filled with pressurized water.
During a fire: The nozzle ruptures due to heat → the pressure in the pipeline decreases → the valve disc opens → water sprays to extinguish the fire.
Water flows through the delay device, triggering the hydraulic alarm bell (audible alarm) and pressure switch (starting the fire pump).
Reset: After extinguishing the fire, manually close the valve and replenish water.
